Education outside of school

The other day we went to an adventure playground to meet up with lots of people who are home educating their children. Apparently there are over 200 families just in Sheffield and quite a few of them were at the playground. It was fantastic. There were children of all ages playing together, making streams across the sand with spades and a water pump, sitting round a camp fire, running around and lots more. Best of all they seemed to be having a great time. I realise that if we go down this route some of our friends and family may think that we are a bit mad but the more I think and read and see of this way of life the more I want to do it.
